Former 5-Year Brazoria County Family Law Judge
Family law attorney James A. Robertson has served the Brazoria County area practicing exclusively in the area of family law for more than two decades. Each and every one of his clients has received the personalized and compassionate approach that family matters require, as well as his total attention and unwavering legal support.
Robertson began his Brazoria County family law practice in 1990. In 2004 he was Board Certified in the specialized field of Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. What this means is that he's gone above and beyond the minimum standards required by the legal profession to give you the specialized legal representation you deserve in your particular family legal matter.
To obtain Board certification Robertson was required to demonstrate his proficiency as a family law attorney by supporting Brazoria County clients in a number of complex cases. He was also required to completed a comprehensive written examination and receive ethics review and peer approval.

By limiting his family practice to only family law cases in Brazoria County, Robertson has developed an extensive understanding of the local family law courts and the unique needs of clients in the community. He knows the procedures of the courts and how they work. In 2007 Robertson was appointed Associate Judge in the 300th District Court, Brazoria County, Texas where he served until he resigned in 2013 to reopen his family law Firm.
Throughout his years as a family law attorney and Judge, James Robertson has been involved in thousands of cases across the family law spectrum. This diversity of experience has given him a thorough insight into the issues that can appear in divorce and family law cases, and is fully brought to bear on your individual case.
