Family law attorney James A. Robertson has served the Brazoria County area practicing exclusively in the area of family law for more than two decades. Robertson began his Brazoria County family law practice in 1990. In 2004 he was Board Certified in the specialized field of Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. To obtain Board certification Robertson was required to demonstrate his proficiency as a family law attorney by supporting Brazoria County clients in a number of complex cases. He was also required to completed a comprehensive written examination and receive ethics review and peer approval.

In 2007 Robertson was appointed Associate Judge in the 300th District Court, Brazoria County, Texas where he served until he resigned in 2013 to reopen his family law Firm.
